People loves coffee, don't you?

Ever since I tasted coffee way back in high school, I could not anymore resist the taste and smell of it. One smell of coffee could make me suddenly crave for more during the whole day.

But let me ask you a question, do you love coffee? Why?

Let me give you my reason why I love coffee so much. I love coffee because it helps me lighten up my day. It's just like saying its the cherry on top of my cake. Explaining to every one why I love coffee so much is very difficult but I will try my best to explain my opinion about coffee.

Coffee, my day wouldn't be complete without coffee. It makes me very hyper active when I become a slow pock in the day. It makes me calm down when I am very angry at one person. It keeps me awake when I am very sleepy. It energizes me. In short it is my heaven.

Now, I have asked some of my friends who likes coffee as well as those who don't like coffee. Keep reading, it's very interesting.

Rocky

"I don't like coffee. It makes me shiver. I drink coffee if I really need to, like when I'm very sleepy. And I want to energize myself. I rarely drink coffee."

Jeannie

"I do like coffee but I don't drink it. I like the smell of it but I don't like its effect on me. I feel like I'm floating and I feel dizzy after. I only drink it when I need it, like when I need it."
Jessica

"Yes, I love coffee. Coffee changes my "Don't talk to me!" mood into a "Good morning honey!" kind of mood. "
Ben

"I do love coffee. It helps me feel relaxed and comfortable. It's not all about the caffeine but it's all about the aroma and the taste."

And there you go. Those were just some of my friends who love and don't love coffee. However, I still encourage you guys (yes you!) to drink and try a fresh brewed coffee in the morning. And yeah, tell me what do think about it.

Missing the smell of a freshly brewed coffee.

It's been months that I haven't tasted a freshly brewed coffee in one of my favorite coffee shops here in Cebu City. But even though I haven't tasted it for quite a long time, I still couldn't forget the smell of it.

Coffee with a Heart. <3
The fresh beans that is being crushed into bits and pieces of coffee grains and putting it on a coffee maker and comes out and smells like HEAVEN!

That! That kind of smell lifts my soul to heaven and just puts me to sleep. (Just kidding). But honestly, who wouldn't fall in love with the scent of coffee (well I know someone but I couldn't tell you guys who this person is because for sure she will kill me if she finds out I placed her name in my blog)?
Freshly Brewed

Surely, Hugh Jackman (the actor who plays "Wolverine" in X-men the movie) will agree to what I'm feeling because according to him and I quote: "To me, the smell of fresh made coffee is one of the greatest inventions."

Cafe Latte
Luckily for me I love all kinds of coffee. It may come from Starbucks (or whatever famous coffee shops in your town), or it may come from a 5 peso vending machine in some store, I would still drink it because I am pretty sure it is made from a coffee bean.

Well, for you?  What's the smell of coffee like? Leave out your comments and yeah drink coffee.
This is mine, what's yours?

Coffee, my partner in crime.

freshly brewed coffee in the morning!
Hey guys, it's been awhile that I haven't written anything about coffee anymore, been busy with work and everything. Anyhow let's go down to business, I just can't wait to write new things about my adventure with coffee around town.

Ever since I entered the world of media and being a reporter, I always make sure that coffee is at my side ALL THE TIME (like literally, :) ). Coffee for me is LIFE, although for some it's not but for the coffee lovers out there it is right?

So I always make sure that I could always get hold of a cup of coffee before I write my news (yes I am a reporter, details of it will be written soon) if I couldn't, I get sleepy. Cliche it may that coffee will somehow boost your energy whenever you will have one, well that is true for me. :)

Funny, somehow my co-workers notice that whenever I've had one I get all jumpy. Well that's a good observation, it gives meaning to what I just said.

my all time favorite, hot latte..:)
But really, who wouldn't love coffee? That awesome aroma that sticks to your nose and telling you, "hey come and get me." Oh, I will get you hot coffee. Even my four year old boy takes a sip of my coffee and he would just say "oh that's a good coffee". Oh yes it is.

At the end of my day, I get my reports done, stories done with of course a cup coffee or two that wouldn't hurt. Then again, coffee had help me finish what I got to finish. Now does it show that I am a coffee maniac?

INTERVIEW OF A BLOGGER

My partner and I had the chance to interview one of the most promising bloggers in our school. Ms Jewel Villaflores and Ms. Katrina Chan answered some questions that would help some bloggers in their site. (http://atongbisaya.webs.com)

1.  What pushed you in creating this blog site?
-          We’ve decided to focus on “balak”/ poem because it’s one way of promoting Cebuano culture.
-          Our love for the Bisayan language.
 2.  Why did you choose the name “Atong Bisaya”? Why not other names?
 -          It’s catchy and it shows our passion for the “Cebuanong Pinulungan.”
 -          We want to create a blog that will appeal to the mass.
 3.  What is your inspiration in making this site?
-          We are inspired by all Cebuano writers/ mambabalak. We also want to continue this site. It’s nice to read balaks and we would like to feature other balaks.
4.  What made you decide to make/ create that kind of template/ layout?
-          We’ve decided to use something that’s relaxing to the eyes. We’ve also decided to make it simpler and the layout was easy to apply.
5.  Since when did you start blogging?
-          (JEWEL) I started blogging ever since I was a kid. I started writing about music, sports, and movies. My recent blog was about music and how it moved me. My passion for writing moved me.
-          (KATRINA) I only started blogging; in short it’s my first time to blog.
6.  What articles are you coming up with in the upcoming days?
-          If there are new balaks, we’d like to feature them. But for the articles we haven’t thought about it.
7.  What can you give back to your followers/ viewers in reading your blog site?
-          We should help promote our Cebuanong Pinulungan and learn to love our language.
-          The love for the Bisayan language, that’s what I can give back to our followers.

INSIGHTS FOR THE BLOGGER INTERVIEW.

Katrina Chan (atongbisaya blogger)
Being proud to be a coffee lover is awesome but to be proud of being a Cebuano is something. The bloggers Jewel Villaflores and Katrina Chan is very proud to be a Cebuana, why? They just made an awesome blogsite called “atong bisaya” which highlights on the “balaks” that Cebuano writers wrote. Talking to them was fun; it’s as if they are experts with our very own language. I learned a lot from them from being a culture critique to a culture lover. Loving your own language makes me proud as a Cebuano because nothing/no one can take that away from you because that’s in you.
Encouraging their viewers to love the Cebuano culture is just one of their strategies to attract viewers to view they’re site. I was attracted by their posts and it was so interesting. It may sound funny that I’m talking of being a Cebuano rather than of coffee but trust me guys if you are going to be proud of your own culture you should learn from other people who knows best about your culture you might not know that the things you know of your culture is not enough for you to be proud of your culture.
Jewel Villaflores (atongbisaya blogger)
I learned so many things about being a great Cebuano with the help of two bloggers (Villaflores and Chan). Being a Cebuano is not about having no choice because we are living here in Cebu instead it’s about loving your culture, knowing what is it really to become a Cebuano/Cebuana and of course knowing we’re you came from. There is a saying that goes “Ang taong hindi marunong lumingon sa kanyang pinanggalingan ay hindi makararating sa paroroonan.”
BEING PROUD OF WHAT YOU HAVE IS THE MOST AWESOME THING THAT YOU CAN GIVE BACK!

HOW-TO FOR BLOGGING AND WRITING

My partner and I are so proud because we came this far. Now, it’s time for you to share to the people what you got, here are some tips of how to become a great blogger and writer.

1.  Choose an interesting topic that your viewers would love to read.
  2. Layout and Presentation should be appealing to the viewers and that somehow they will get bored in reading your posts.
  3.  Use illustrations and or pictures to give more emphasis to what you are writing and of course to bring color and life to your post.
4 4. With these pictures posted in your site walks hand in hand with the caption of course; we need captions in your pictures so that your viewers can identify what the picture is.
5.5. Be careful in choosing words so that your viewers will not have a hard time understanding your article and also to avoid misunderstanding with your viewers.
  6. Always update your site with new posts or articles because your followers are always expecting something new in your site. If you haven’t posted something new then at least you can apologize to your viewers for not coming up with a new post.
  7. Make sure that the font of your words is very clear to your viewers, not only the font but the color as well. The colors should not irritate the eyes of the viewers or else the viewers might not read your posts or articles.
8 8. Lastly, make sure that your articles stick to the idea of your blog site so that your viewers will read your articles or posts more often; and of course, together with that, have fun in making your articles.

So there you have it, our very own How-to for Blogging and Writing. But before we end up your excitement to learn about blogging, here's a video of professionals that somehow it would help you in writing your very own blog.
